Decorating with Artificial Plants
Plants can change the feeling of a room entirely. Real plants are beautiful, but if you have kids or pets, or simply don't like the upkeep, faux plants are the perfect alternative. In my opinion, artificial plant manufacturers have made some big advances in the last couple of years and I've been seeing more realistic looking materials that are very easy to clean with just soap and water. I usually wash mine when the seasons change and I'm switching over seasonal decorations anyway. Washing off any dust will keep your faux plants looking natural. Here are some of my favorite faux plants that I have in my house. Click here to see the full list.

VIVATREES Artificial Indoor, 6FT Olive Tree with White Planter, Natural Wood Trunk and Lifelike Fruits

This is our front porch decorated for Fall. Every year, the boys love helping me pick out an interesting assortment of pumpkins and gourds - the wonkier the better! I keep my Boston Ferns from the Summer since they're still alive. They make a great filler. My mums are the artificial ones from the list above. I like to pull out the summer flowers from the pots and stick the artificial stems right into the dirt. The flowers in the 3-tiered pot next to the door are also from the list above. They are the combo set in peach and orange.
